OPERATING
MILL & EQUIPMENT
Gunung Seraya’s operation is currently
located on a block of land in excess of 12 acres not far from
the main port of Peninsular Malaysia, Port Klang. The Production
Facilities, the Kiln Drying Plant together with the Timber Preservative
Plant sit on two mills both standing 50 feet tall; covering
in excess of 300,000 square feet.
Next to the first mill, is
the Office. The office was extended and renovated in 2003.
With double of its previous capacity, the new office is
able to host a larger number of visitors together with
a showroom to display the capabilities of Gunung Seraya.
Facing the two mills across
the road, is a Storage Warehouse carrying most of our inventory
necessary to ensure a continual supply of raw material for
our production.
The first mill houses all
of the production facilities including the operating equipment
and machinery, complete with a Tool Room.
The machinery includes 6 and 7 sided planer moulders from Weinig and Wadkin with operating speeds up to 80 metres per minute. In addition, we have a Celaschi Double End Tenoner, SCI Multi-Rip Saws, Robinson Bandsaws, Weinig Optimiser, Priming, Rotary Composer and Finger-Jointing Lines.
